An essay is a short prose composition on one them. it is one of the bet test of a student
to check ability of thinking as well as composition.
it develops thoroughness and concentration.it leads the writer to formulate clear opinions and settled convictions upon a variety of subject.

1. Select your subject :- Choose your a subject in which you are specially interested and
on which you already have some knowledge .
2. Define your subject :- Be sure that you know the exact meaning of every word in your subject.define as suitable for subject.
3. Limit your subject :- By the time you have clear definition ,after you find it's too much.then limit your subject , concentrate your attention on those points which you want consider to be vitally important arid interesting and leave out the other.
4. Gather material :- The real difficulty of beginner is how to get material for his composition .begin to think deeply upon a subject and you will be surprised how easily
unexpected thoughts will arise in your mind. ask your subject ,why? what? how? where?
and your own mind should be diligently searched for ideas.
5. Make an outline :- it is a series of headings and sub-heading under which your place respectively your leading and sub-ordinate ideas. there should be no attempt here to write out your thoughts,but merely to set down the chief points of your subject.
In this way you may see ,almost at a glance whether your ideas are linked logically together before you begin your actual composition .
At this stage there will be much careful selection and rejection of material.
6. Write first a rough draft :- If you are practicing by yourself .the order of your thoughts is vital .there is one best way in which to express your ideas and this one way you should endeavor to employ . you must be inspired by sincerity and simplicity .there are unfailing foes to diffuseness and obscurity.
7. Revise and write a second draft :- If you are practicing by yourself .here you will strike out superfluous word and phrases. whole ideas, however precious in themselves ,must be omitted if they donot contribute anything worthwhile to your main theme .you mut preserve the unity of yor essay by bringing all your matter into one key.
All digressions should be eliminated and ambiguities removed.
8. Write a final draft :- You should be content with nothing but your best. the genreral style of the essay should be marked by simplicity, clearness, dignity and power .
